I gained so much information, some of it surprising, from Joan's book which includes describing the many amazing experiences she and others have had associated with the paranormal. It gave me a deeper insight into this subject and I don't think you'll find another book that covers in depth so many aspects of the paranormal and spiritual side of life. I found it certainly opened my eyes to a new way of perceiving things.

Joan, I have just finished your book. What an apt name for a book full of astonishing facts and experiences. I was overawed thinking of the hours of research you have put in to back up your experiences and grow from them.

The introduction to the book set the scene as we knew it in those times. It brought back the learning I went through and the understanding of many things I gained through it.

The way you used anecdotal evidence to explore the spiritual experiences made this easy to relate to. I have to confess I read the italic comments only in the chapter on astrology (I went to a class about it but just couldn’t get my non-maths brain to take in all that I needed to know. This was made more difficult because the tutor didn’t have enough people to have a beginner’s class on their own so I got lost in the confusion).

As I have been sharing some of your experiences since the 1980’s ( and before if we count the palm reading), I thought I knew you pretty well and goodness me, fancy going out with John all those years ago and not being aware of the experiences he has gone through. Through your personal honesty about situations and experiences I certainly have a greater knowledge of your development and appreciate your gathered wisdom.

I wondered about the religion section when I started but soon realised how the research shows what I had always felt about the church was so tied into the spiritual aspects of your whole book, so accepted that it needed to be there. Your summing up of that chapter lead into where religion and spiritual development is going in the next millennium (?).

Your book clarified my understanding of many spiritual things and while reading it I felt it a privilege to travel on your journey with you. Good luck with the sales.

I recently purchased Joan Boler's book 'The Truth Seeker'. I was amazed at the depth of knowledge, insight and intuition revealed in her book and the degree of research undertaken.

I have known Joan for many years. I met Joan after responding to her invitation for people to join a bush walking group in Sydney. During the time we shared in 'The Happy Wanderers' bush walking group I was impressed by Joan's knowledge on the topics she discusses in her book and her insight into people and realised she was a gifted person.
